Why Join PTA?

JOIN ERE PTA BECAUSE...

The Eagle Ridge Elementary School PTA provides financial support for classroom supplies, curriculum materials, activity scholarships for students, assemblies, and more. The PTA's volunteers and funds support programs such as yearbooks, the Science Fair, Donuts for Dads, Box Tops collection drives, Field Day, teacher & staff appreciation events, the Holiday Shop, Family Picnic Night and much more.

Our PTA has bought the school iPads and Chromebooks for classrooms, keyboards, tables, phonics and math programs, Leader in Me materials, docking & charging stations, materials for the STEAM lab, headphones, books and so much more! We also host community events throughout the year just for everyone to come and have fun at.

Our PTA’s purpose is to be able to provide items the school needs, but doesn’t have the budget for and to provide community events so that our community is strengthened. Our goal is to inspire the leader within every child.

ERE PTA Membership dues are $10 and includes discounts to several PTA hosted events at our school as well as discounts through the National PTA and a chance to have your voice heard. Our school has 100% participation from staff.

Our meetings are held quarterly and include meaningful speakers so the members can learn more about what is going on at school.


You are invited to Join the PTA

The PTA will hold four General Meetings during the 2020-2021 school year. All meetings will be held virtually (at 7:00 p.m.) on the following dates:

  • September 1, 2020

  • October 20, 2020

  • January 19, 2021

  • April 20, 2021

What: The PTA meetings have speakers who discuss meaningful topics. We cover events happening in our school and things in the community you should be aware of. Volunteer opportunities are available at these meetings. Feel free to come and learn what is going on at Eagle Ridge!

Community Events: We have several community events throughout the year that are meant to be fun gatherings for our school community. These are not fundraisers -- they are just opportunities to gather and enjoy our school family. These events include the Kindergarten Boo Hoo (a breakfast for Kindie parents on the first day of school), Family Picnic Night, Walk to School Day, BINGO, Donuts with Divas/Darlings, Donuts for Dads, Summer Kick-off Party and many more!

Fundraisers: Fundraising is a very important aspect of a successful PTA. We do our best to limit our fundraising efforts to 1-2 large events during the school year to not overburden our community. We seek partnerships through sponsor opportunities with local businesses. We host monthly restaurant nights which give back to our school while also strengthening our community.

Why: Our PTA helps raise money for technology, curriculum, and other items that are needed around the school. It is essential for our PTA to fundraise so our school has the items they need to provide a quality education to our students. Our PTA also provides communication between parents, staff, teachers and students. Our goal is to provide a great learning environment where every student can thrive and succeed.
